The marathon aims to sound a clarion call for lake conservation, foster eco-sensitivity, and promote healthy lifestyles.

Mission

To lead by example by undertaking the conservation of endangered wetlands in the Kochi region, contributing to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 15: Life on Land; promoting sustainable and clean living in alignment with the Gandhian vision of Swacch Bharat – Clean India, supporting SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; encouraging an active lifestyle founded on proper nutrition and regular exercise, in solidarity with the Fit India – Swasth Bharat campaign, contributing to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being; removing disposable plastic materials from lakes and rivers, and improving the way plastic waste is managed, aligning with SDG 14: Life Below Water and SDG 15: Life on Land; and promoting eco-tourism, agri-tourism, and adventure tourism in Kochi, in line with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 13: Climate Action.
